This week's update isn't comprised of anything superbly exciting. Joel and I relaxed a lot this past weekend.
On Friday when i came home from work, Kenzie was already at grammy's house for the night and Joel had cleaned the whole house and had a candlelit dinner all ready for us. So that was sweet as could be :) Then we went out to the movie theater in Louisville and saw Terminator Salvation which was acually really good. Of course who doesn't like Christian Bale right? ;)
On Saturday we went to the zoo and I got a few cool shots...

Baby girl was perfectly well behaved the whole time. A little angel even though it was over 85 degrees outside :)
The rest of the weekend we were at the house, watched Valkyrie (?) and BOLT. I didn't get into VALKYRIE but BOLT was adorable and we both LOVED it. Kenzie even watched it for a little while off and on.
Kenzie also finally got a highchair and she loves it. It tastes great.
Sunday was church and more chillaxing at the house.
Kenzie updates are the same ol' same ol'. She's still coping with teething and not doing so hot. We're having to give her Tylenol probably 3x every 24 hours or so which i HATE but it's the only relief that she gets. She HATES the taste/feel or Orajel and nearly cries any time i try to put it on her. She can't really hold on to any teething rings to well yet and doesn't like them cold. My one last resort was something called 'teething tablets' as a lot of people say they work. Well i looked them up today and SURPRISE! They are milk/lactose based. For my SOY formula baby, lactose/milk is a BIG no-no. So we're back to Tylenol. She still is waking up 2x per night or more so we're back to being up every 3-4 hours which really sucks. I don't want to let her cry it out because i know she hurts, but eventually we'll have to because outside of Tylenol every 4 hours, there is nothing i can really do for her to stop the pain. Someday she needs to learn to sleep through the night. So we'll see what i can do this week to help her out and 'make' her sleep more. I'm sure there will be a lot of crying involved.
Rupert and Kenzie had a little 'meet and greet' time on Sunday. He has been more indifferent about her for the most part outside of the occassional sniff here and there. Well on Sunday we held both him and Kenzie next to each other and Rupert gave her the 'evil warning eye' at first, but soon we calmed him down and he was fine. Kenzie reached for him and 'pet' him. She grabbed his scruff once but Rupert was fine. A little while later Rupert started to lick her all over so all is good. We'll start easing him into playing with Kenzie more and more now since she'll be reaching out for him on her own soon so he needs to learn to tolerate that.
Well i'm gonna go to bed soon since i have to prep for a loooooong night :( ugg. Hopefully she does better tonight though.
