First Mother's Day

I had the most splendid past weekend. On Friday I woke up around 7:30 with the girly and hung out around the house until Daddoo got up at 8. Then we both just sat around and talked until Joel’s mom came over to pick me up for our shopping trip. We drove up to the outlet malls about an hour or so away, all 3 of us girls and spent the whole morning/afternoon shopping. I just don’t have the same energy that I used to anymore so after about 3 hours of walking around I was exhausted. I kept trying to find stuff for me, but only ended up getting baby things. A pack of onesies and pants, a stufftie and paci holder, and then grandma got 4 casual dresses and one really nice cute dress for next year. Little girl makes out like a bandit anytime anyone goes shopping. LOL. Anyways….she was an angel the whole time we were out and didn’t fuss much at all. I so love our mommy/daughter shopping trips.
Saturday rolled around and we decided not to go to the Scottish Festival since it would probably rain all day and it was a lot of money involved to drive out there and pay to get in, eat out, drive back….too much. BUT then the day ended up being gorgeous so we sat outside a while and enjoyed the weather. Joel’s mom came over later and we all went to Walmart….oooo fun. At night Joel and I tried to hang out but I fell asleep :(.
Sunday was mommy’s day and i woke up to breakfast in bed! Cinnamon rolls, eggs, sausage, and apples with a glass of milk :) Then we got ready for church, mom and Kenzie all matchy matchy and took some pics. Went to church with MIL in tow and had a wonderful church service. I won a pretty potted plant for being the ‘youngest mother’ in the church, LOL.
After church we headed for home and Joel got to cooking lunch for us while I hung out with my MIL and Kenzie. We ate a yummy lunch and then sat outside some more. It was SOOO nice outside all weekend. After a little while Sherry (MIL) and I headed out front to do some gardening. She had bought me some pretty little flowering plants so we planted those out front. They are gorgeous, and I also got 2 little lavender plants so I can’t wait for those to bloom! Went back in and ate some freshly baked brownies courtesy of my hubsters and then relaxed the rest of the night. Kenzie had a rough time getting to bed at first so we had to let her cry for a few mins but by the time to got to the screaming level I couldn’t hold out anymore and went in to stick the paci back in and calm her down. I cried for like 5 mins afterwards though because I HATE letting her cry. I feel like I’m letting her down :( Ugh it hurts so bad!
Anyways…..we had a wonderful weekend and I’m looking forward to my Weds. off with the girl, even though the morning time brings a Dr. appt and shots :(
