AWESOME DAY!

Today has been just such a great day! I woke up early...around 7 with the girly brains and we got ready to go to the doctor. We got there right at 9 and went right in. After a spit up all over mommy we saw the doc and nurse. Kenzie is still in the 90th percentile at 15lbs 5oz and 25.5 inches long. What a big girl! By 4mos they are supposed to have doubled their birth weight, which she has and then some! Everything is going great with her and she is right on track with rolling over and sitting up. Doc said that she had great head control and that we could go ahead and start feeding her veggies. She had to get 2 shots again which just breaks my heart. She got the first one and didn't scream, but then right before the 2nd one, it hit her and she actually screamed. I had never heard such a sound from her. A little short high pitched scream. :( She did it again after the second shot hit her but then i could swoop her up and cuddle with her to calm and soothe her. After about a minute she was just fine. Bandaged and hating the nurse, but no worse for the wear.
After the appt i met up with our Pastor's wife and their 2 little kids at IHOP. We had a great time talking and getting to know one another better. Her little boy and girl are just too cute.
Anyways...then we came home and got to see dad for a little bit before he went off to work. After he left the girly fell asleep on me and we napped together on the couch for an hour or so. I went to the store and picked out some baby food and we decided to try out some sweet potatoes for her first meal. She had a rough time at first and most of it was on her chin, but soon she got the hang of swallowing the food and opened her mouth for more!
I was just playing with her a few mins ago and i got the best present from her....a laugh. She had yet to laugh for me until today. She smiles all day long and talks up a storm but laughter? no...she hadn't blessed us with that yet. However....today i laid her on the ottoman and grabbeed her little arms to pull her up and when she got up i smiled and said YAY! and then she laughed....2x!!! I cried the second i heard it. It's just the sweetest thing in the whole wide world.
She is sitting in her BUMBO seat for now, really enjoying it but i think i'll go and spend some more time with her. I have more to blog about but that will wait for after bedtime. :)
