Last post pre-mommyhood

So this will probably be my last posting pre-mommyhood. I'm at work right now and bored out of my mind, but i'm so sore that at this point...boredom is very welcome.

I had another Dr. appt on this past monday...my last one...and Mackenzie was measuring 7lbs 4 oz. at the last u/s and she has very long legs too (tell me something i didn't know). All is doing well and she is still extremely low, so much so that my doctor couldn't even check me for progress because her head was in the way. So that's good i guess. Less i have to push hopefully. My last day of work will be tomorrow, on Thursday, so i'm psyched about that, but i really wish that i was done after today. I'm getting really swollen now all over, my legs are all red and sore, my hips are sore, and i'm just physically drained. My nausea has come back and i get sick most times that i eat so that's fun.

Last night was nice because the ladies from our church threw me a little baby shower. It was nice to hang out with all of the ladies and talk. Mackenzie got spoiled again with more outfits and diapers and 'accessories' of course. I've bought just about every little minor thing that i can think of that we still needed so now everything really is ready. I can't even think of any exceptions to things that we still need. Joel's and mine and baby's bags are all packed and stacked up ready to grab and go and the carseat is installed. It's hard to believe that in only 4 days we'll be off to the hospital to meet our daughter. I'm praying for an easy uncomplicated delivery that progresses easily and without a hitch. I am still hoping that maybe she'll come on her own too a few days early...that would make me happy...but somehow i doubt it. It's pretty rare to go on your own in the first pregnancy over a week early.

My sister is flying in on Saturday morning so i'm really excited about that. It will be so nice to have some extra help around the house while i'm recovering and getting used to having baby around. My mom will also be driving up either Saturday or Sunday so even more help there! Joel's mom is planning on taking a couple of days off of work too so i don't think that i will be lacking for help around the house with cooking and caretaking etc etc. Both Joel and I have been so blessed with our whole experience with this pregnancy between the showering of gifts and help and the health of our baby girl. It's so weird because in some ways i feel like i've been pregnant FOR-E-VER...but on the other hand...it seems like only yesterday that i peed on a stick and sent a picture message to Joel. :)

Well since i'll probably be busy for a little while what with giving birth and a new baby and all i don't think that blogging will be my very first priority but i'm sure that anyone who does read my blog still will get a phone call and be told all of the details. I'll return to the cyber world in a little while!!!
